2 REUNIONS PLANNED!!

2005... Branson, MO

2006...East Coast Cruise

The membership at the 2004 reunion cleared the way for big changes in the way our association holds reunions. See By Law Changes. In 2005 we are going to Branson, MO.

PAST REUNIONS

Branson isn’t just country and western anymore. Many different kinds of shows are offered and there’s something for everyone. Besides shows, there is golf, fishing, site seeing and a world of enjoyment. You may want to stay more than the four days the association is planning.

Shipmate Steve Van Meter, who lives in Missouri, has put PF in contact with someone in Branson who coordinates military reunions for the town. Thank you, Steve. PF still has a lot of details to work out but here is what he knows so far. The dates are May 15 thru 18 of 2005. We will be at the Ramada Inn. We will have a hospitality room much like we had in Ponchatoula, LA and be able to bring in our own liquor (a big deal!) PF has talked to other reunion organizers and has been told the Ramada is "the place" to stay.

East Coast Cruise. Yes Shipmates, you’re going back to sea. No "Sweepers, Sweepers man your brooms" and no "lay to the quarterdeck a 6 man working party", just the good stuff like liberty call and chow. You can also sleep- in without permission any time you want.

No information available on this one yet. John Gurnick is doing the preliminary fact finding for PF and we’ll keep you informed as information becomes available. The membership felt we should go east for a change to accommodate the members that live in that part of the country.

Except for an overnight ferry boat ride I haven’t been to sea since I stepped off the Ponchatoula; so, I am really looking forward to this one.
